Crescent Moon and Venus
While chatting with my neighbor early Wednesday evening, we were both admiring the setting crescent moon and Venus in the southern sky. Afterwards, I quickly went inside, grabbed my camera and tripod, slapped on my 70-300mm lens and took this shot. I like how Venus appears as a starburst, or in this case, a planet-burst. A few minutes later, the moon moved behind the tree and disappeared.
