Russian Ridge Foggy
I went to Russian Ridge for a leisurely run on a beautiful spring day in the Bay Area. However when I approached the top of Page Mill Road I could see a large mass of clouds billowing along Skyline Ridge. At Skyline Boulevard I took a right and drove over to vista parking next to the aptly named Clouds Rest Trail. When I got out of my SUV, I was amazed to find the weather to be wet, cold, and quite windy. While it wasn't actually raining, my jacket became drenched in condensation in a matter of minutes. After running about half an hour, I went to get my camera gear to take a few photos. Russian Ridge is part of the Midpeninsula Regional Open Space District.

A docent led a group of elementary school children on a hike through Russian Ridge. She was apparently trying to impress upon the kids the scale and immensity of our Solar System. The Sun, Mercury, Venus, Earth and Mars were marked by flowers just a few paces away from each other, whereas Pluto was way down on the trail.
