2010 Amgen Tour of California
The Amgen Tour of California is the largest cycling event in America. It's a Tour de France-style road race featuring the world's top professional cycling teams. Stage 4 is one of the longest of the ATOC, running 121.5 miles from San Jose to Modesto. The stage included two King of the Mountains (KOM) competitions and two sprints. After a two-lap neutral start in downtown San Jose the cyclists were faced with a Category 1, 1,930 ft. climb. These photos were taken just after the Sierra Rd. climb on Calaveras Rd. in Milpitas.
